“My FAVES,” Anne Heywood’s Show of Recent Works August 24 and 25 in Waldoboro, Maine

Artist Anne Heywood hosts her annual show of recent works, “My FAVES”, on August 24th and August 25th at Artwork by A. Heywood, 808 N. Nobleboro Rd., Waldoboro, from noon – 5 each day, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 24th, 6 – 8 pm.
“My FAVES” is a collection of Heywood’s favorite original paintings, including new works inspired by midcoast Maine and southern Italy, places where Heywood has lived, and with which she continues to share a deep personal connection. Featured show paintings include landscapes, still lifes, and pet portraits, all rendered in Heywood’s expressive realistic style, known for sensitivity, energy, and created moods.
Anne Heywood is an artist, author, workshop instructor and the recipient of many honors and awards, most recently the 2013 Silver Award at the International Association of Pastel Societies’ Master Circle Exhibition in Albuquerque, NM, and the 2012 Dr. Adrian Tinsley Award for Achievement in the Arts from Bridgewater State University, MA. Both her writings and paintings have been featured in international books and magazines such as Australian Artist Magazine and The Best of Sketching and Drawing. Heywood is a member of River Arts, Damariscotta, a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, and an artist member of the National Association of Women Artists. She is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Women. Heywood paints and offers workshops (such as her annual Artist Retreat Week) in her studio/gallery in Waldoboro, Maine, in addition to maintaining a working studio in East Bridgewater, MA.
