The Heywood Gallery, 921 Main St., Waldoboro, celebrates ArtWalk Waldoboro on Saturday, September 8th with “Signs of Fall”, a show of paintings depicting stupendous skies full of movement, nature turning warm colors, gourds, and squashes. “Fall is one of my favorite times of the year — Mother Nature outdoing herself with her splashes of color,” says Anne Heywood, owner and featured artist of the Heywood Gallery. “I truly hate to say good-bye to summer, but as an artist I am particularly attracted to the excitement of summer changing to fall. I extend that concept beyond the “pretty foliage” landscape, to include scenes that elicit moods and still lifes that carry a feeling to the viewer.”
